These works clearly show a part of the authentic history of textile arts in Québec, which is first and foremost a history of the recovery and salvage of materials, clothing or other, in which the imperative of recycling predominated over fashion. The skill and imagination that our ancestors invested in their work allowed them to transcend poverty and necessity; such as the necessity to extend the life span of the material. A second life, a sociological narrative: « Le Chemin de ma mémoire » is a contemporary adaptation of Québec's traditional textile techniques.
